The strawberry milkshake is one of the most popular milkshakes together with the chocolate and vanilla varieties and eventhough most of the time it's prepared with a strawberry syrup nothing beats a cold milkshake made with fresh strawberries! To make your own strawberry milkshake you can use milk, ice cream or iced milk and add some fresh fruit and a few spoons of sugar. To finish your shake you can choose the toppings that you prefer such as whipped cream, a chocolate syrup or even toasted nuts!
For the Strawberry Milkshake:
Ice cubes 6
Milk 200 ml
Strawberries 200 gr
Sugar 2 tablespoons
Recipe:
Preparation:
Wash the strawberries and remove the stems. To get a smoother milkshake you can choose to slice the strawberries or cut them in little pieces before placing them in the blender.
Place the strawberries in the blender and add the 2 tablespoons of sugar, the 200 ml of cold milk and the 6 ice cubes which you can choose to crush before adding but if you want to prepare a quick milkshake you can just add the whole ice cubes.
Blend for a few seconds, then turn off the blender and pour the mixture into two glasses. Decorate your milkshakes with strawberries and a colorful straw to match! The strawberry milkshake is best served immediately and drunk while still cold.
Cooking Tips:
Instead of using fresh strawberries you can also add a few scoops of strawberry ice cream for a more creamy milkshake!
You can top the strawberry milkshake with whipped cream and strawberry syrup.
